How I work

I help people struggling with anxiety, illness and identity to feel more at ease and able to live the life that they want to in a way that is authentic to them in their particular context. I help people to deal with the challenges that life brings and to support them in making the changes that they would like to, with an attitude of curiosity and compassion. I do this by combining practical psychological tools with a highly empathetic approach.
The therapy space can also be used to make sense of past experiences and to identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck. I offer a spacious and gentle way of doing this.

How I can help you

My approach

I'm an integrative therapist, which means I draw on several modalities. This is likely to include person-centred, Gestalt, compassion-focussed, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

I take an embodied, somatic approach to therapy. I understand that sometimes it can be painful to be in touch with the body, so I take a gentle approach to help you become curious about your embodied experience, resulting in a deeper level of acceptance.

I believe that mental health is about cultivating the positive in your life, as well as looking at the more difficult experiences. Therefore I take a holistic approach, working relationally with you as a whole person to understand what changes you would like to make, and the patterns that may be keeping you stuck.

My core values are: Compassion, curiosity and inclusion.
